In this article I provide an overview of the latest facial wrinkle fillers to help you understand if they are right for you to banish your wrinkles!

You know dermal fillers have come a long way...when I was a resident in Dermatology a few years back, the only filler we had was collagen and back then collagen was not a very good filler. It would only last about 6 weeks and would cause lumps and bumps in the skin and didn't look good. People could also be allergic to it as well.

Then came a revolution - things changed drastically with facial wrinkle fillers.

Fillers are now products which literally do not fill but they restore the face back to the way it used to be.

We restore cheeks, we restore chins, we basically make the skin look better.

We roll back the clock on the skin by repositioning areas that have lost volume and put it back again to where it should be.

The main fillers we use are what we call hyaluronic acid fillers (HLA fillers) but we also use a lot of fillers that are longer lasting known as stimulatory fillers. They literally stimulate the bodys' own collagen to come into these areas.
