There are many different methods to build a list; an effective method to do this and a method used by almost every internet entrepreneur is writing articles. Targeted articles with good content and highly adequate and to the point information. I hear you ask: "is it really possible to build a list with writing articles?". The answer is a simple yes and here is the trick.
Start with writing an article that is related to the market niche you are involved with. It doesnt have to be a long article. The longer the article is the sooner the reader stops reading. The article needs to have a catching title, one or two gripping sentences as a beginning, the body with the main content and a conclusion. That is all. The signature box
The most important part of the article however is the signature box at the bottom of the article. In this box you write something about yourself and what you are doing. You enter as many keywords as possible that are relevant to your market. Link these keywords to your weblog or website, where visitors can find an optin web form to your list. Dont exaggerate. Two links are enough.

When you are pleased with your article, you have to publish it. And of course you want as many people as possible take notice of it. This can be done by publishing your article to article submissions websites. When you do this your article is visible and available for publishing on website and weblogs of people and/or entrepreneurs who are looking for good content.
That is the part where it becomes interesting because if your article is placed on the website or weblog of someone else (maybe an important entrepreneur), you suddenly get a lot of exposure. Readers will click the links in your signature box and are, by doing so a visitor to your website and a possible subscriber to your list. That is why your website or weblog always should have an optin web form. You got the idea about how it works? And dont forget, the internet is viral.
