Wwe Tickets - Stone Cold Steve Austin

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin had an outstanding career

, which includes winning the WWE championship six times, an intercontinental and World Tag Team Champion, a three-time Royal Rumble Match winner, and King of the Ring winner. The Texas Rattlesnake was one of the most popular and rebellious Superstars in the history of the WWE.

Austin began his wrestling career in Texas in 1990. The 6-foot-2, 252 pound wrestler was trained by "Gentleman" Chris Adams. After a year of training, the Texas Rattlesnake entered the WCW and quickly rose to power by winning the WCW Television Championship. He captured another TV Championship before he won the United States Championship, a title made famous by such legends as Ric Flair and Ricky "Dragon" Steamboat.

In January 1996, Austin made his WWE debut as "The Ringmaster," where he fought Matt Hardy and Marty Jannetty. During that same year, Austin participated in his first Wrestle Mania (XII) and defeated Savio Vega in an intense match. Soon after, "Stone Cold" was born. Get WWE tickets and see your favorite wrestler pin his opponent. In June 1996, Austin took the WWE by storm when he became King of the Ring and gave his famous "3:16" speech, putting every WWE Superstar on notice. Stone Cold backed up his talk by pummeling anyone who crossed his path.

Perhaps the Texas Rattlesnake is best remembered for his infamous battles with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. The feud between the two men started in 1998 and it reached its climax when Stone Cold sent McMahon a message by tossing the Intercontinental Championship into the New Hampshire River. The Chairman was enraged over the incident and stripped Austin of the championship and awarded the title to The Rock as a "forfeit victory." The animosity created between Austin and McMahon lasted two years and both men made life miserable for the other.

Many WWE fans believe Stone Cold was one of the toughest wrestlers to enter the square ring. Austin had to endure countless of injuries over his career, and the grappler even broke his neck at Summer Slam in 1997. But that didn't stop the Texas Rattlesnake from finishing his match. Stone Cold overcame the odds and won the Intercontinental Championship. Although Austin stopped competing in the ring and missed WrestleMania XIX due to severe neck pain, the wrestler still used his signature move, the Stone Cold Stunner. The Texas Rattlesnake demonstrated his finishing move on other wrestlers, celebrities like Donald Trump, and his most despicable enemy, Mr. McMahon.

Outside the WWE, Stone Cold has also made a name for himself by staring in a 2007 film called The Condemned. It was Austin's first starring role in a movie. But whether it's Hollywood or in the sports entertainment industry, the Texas Rattlesnake will always be a trash-talking, beer-swilling Superstar. The millions of WWE fans from across the globe wouldn't have it any other way. Austin's true grit and passion for the wrestling business will truly be missed in the WWE. He brought a unique flare and attitude to the industry that has never been seen before.
