If you decide to use the Split ring finding instead of a jump ring finding you won't need the chain nose pliers. The most difficult step in making this necklace and pendant may be ordering the supplies and waiting patiently until they arrive.

The first step is to prepare all the necessary tools: a necklace chain, a beautiful pendant, and a clasp.

Next you need to measure the length of the necklace chain (according to your neck) and cut your chain to that length. It is probably a good idea for this project to have both end links on your chain as the long links.

Now we are ready to add the clasp to one end of your chain

With an open jump ring, you would then thread one end of the chain and your clasp on the jump ring, and then you use your bent chain nose pliers to twist the jump ring closed.

At this point we need to set the pendant to our chain.

Now you need to add the loop on the end of the chain that allows the clasp to connect to the opposite side of the chain. If you like, you can always change the pendant, and you will have a vast selection. So do it yourself!
