, there are plenty of big names that surfaced and took interest in Haiti. The Haitian new reveled the name of the Haitian born rapper Wyclef Jean. His interest did not only extend in helping in providing food for the Haitians victim but increase to a different level, Haiti News. Wyclef Jean took interest in the political arena of Republic of Haiti. In fact, he filed for candidacy for President in Haiti but was late rejected when he failed to comply the residency requirement as one of the qualification for running as President. He became one of the most formidable opponents because of his wealth which other candidates are lacking. But many questioned the interest of Wyclef in running for president of Haiti, Haitian News. For one, his funded charity for Haiti was questioned long before the tragedy in Haiti because it is rumored that Wyclef Jean used such charity for personal gain and the charitable acts are just a second consequence to his own benefit. Another of which are the comments posted by other celebrities is his absence the entire time the Haitians needed so much volunteer.
