So XP freezes up on you at random times

So XP freezes up on you at random times. There are few things as annoying as Windows XP freezing up at unexpected moments and losing whatever you were working on. I know, because my computer used to freeze up all the time. I tried reinstalling the OS and yet I still had problems. The freezes just kept getting worse and worse. What I later discovered was the problems came from my Windows registry.
