As an owner of a Xbox 360 I know the frustration of looked forward to playing your

360 only to find that when you turn it on you get the dreaded "3 Red Rings Of Death" (RROD) staring back at you . What makes it even worse is that there is no quick fix for it. You either have to get it fixed by sending it back to Microsoft where depending on whether you warranty is still valid or not they could charge you for fixing what is known as a design flaw, not good news for those who would prefer spending their hard earned money on a game instead of a costly repair. Luckily however there are a number of Xbox 360 repair tutorial sites now available on the internet which can show you how to repair your console itself. In this brief article I will tell you what you should be looking out for with these Xbox 360 repair tutorial sites. Now before you even think of getting out your screwdriver and disassembling your 360 you want to make sure that your console still isn't under warranty. Keep in mind that Microsoft actually extended their warranties from 1 to 3 years due to all the units that had the red ring of death problem so it may pay to check. If however your warranty has expired then you can either look for a 3rd party to fix it for you at a cost of $100-150 or you can do the repair yourself. Having done the repair I can tell you that it isn't all that difficult provided that the instructions that you get are detailed enough. This is where there can be a bit of difference in tutorial quality depending on where you get them from. I ended up getting more than one tutorial guide because the first ones that I got weren't detailed enough for me. The later tutorials that I purchased were excellent and these are the ones that I recommend to anyone who is thinking of repairing their console. The difference was video instructions. I could follow along step by step, rewinding when I needed to and in under an hour I had cured my 360 from the RROD.
