Xperia X10 Unlocked - Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Sim Free

The new Xperia X10 from Sony Ericsson has now been released with no network locks

, the SIM Free Sony Ericsson X10 is unlocked to all networks and allows the consumer to use either an existing Pay As You Go or contract SIM Card or a newly ordered one with their new phone.

SIM freedom does however come at a price, typically SIM Free phones are more expensive than their Pay As You Go counterparts as there is a small network subsidy with prepay handsets, however the advantages are clear as the user can use their new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 on any network they choose and switch between SIM cards from different networks as and when they please.

The Xperia X10 is by far the most advanced handset from Sony Ericsson for some time, released shortly after the recent Sony Ericsson Vivaz phone the X10 is the first ever handset from the manufacturer to run the Android operating system.

One of the biggest selling points of the Sony Xperia X10 are its massive 4 inch touch screen display which is only trumped by the 4.3 inches of the HTC HD2 and .3 inches more than its closest rival the HTC Desire. Another major feature is the phones 8 mega pixel camera which is an industry 'first' any any Android phone.

Sony Ericsson have also incorporated their new Timescape application which works very much like the MOTOblur and FriendStream from rivals Motorola and HTC by pulling together all of the text messages, emails and social networking updates from the users contacts and displaying them in an ordered stream of information keeping them up to date of all of their friends conversations and activities.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is also set to be joined by two smaller versions very soon, both cut the screen size down to a pocket friendly 3.2 inches and are called the Xperia X10 Mini and Mini Pro, the latter even manages to squeeze in a full slide out Qwerty keyboard into its frame.

The X10 has already been launched on all of the UK networks, these include O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, Virgin Mobile and Three Mobile as well as being made available as a Pay As You Go phone. This latest SIM Free release means that those people who might struggle to pass the network credit checks can also now get their hands on this advanced handset.
