The infected person must undergo laboratory tests to detect yeast in the vagina. The bacteria, Candida albicans causes the infection when they grow unnaturally in the vagina. This calls for the right medication to terminate the bacteria. The drugs can be in the form of pills or vaginal cream. The most common symptom of yeast infection in the vaginal region is an itchy feeling in the vagina. There will also be a burning sensation in the vaginal area and the vulva will become reddened and bulged. Pain will also be felt when urinating.
Although yeast infection and urinary tract infection have similarities, the burning sensation when urinating should be observed to identify what caused it. With urinary tract infection, a burning feeling in the vagina is obvious when urine runs through the tube. On the other hand, yeast infection is accompanied by a burning feeling that occurs when the urine with acid passes on the vulva's reddened skin. The infected person will also feel the burn when the urine is running outside. Contagious painful urination has natural remedies, one of which is tea tree oil. One teaspoon of tea tree oil should be mixed with one teaspoonful of isopropyl alcohol. Using a dropper, at least 10 droplets of the solution should be mixed with a bucket of water. Use the water in the bucket to wash the vagina. But this solution is not recommended for pregnant women. Plain yoghurt can be used instead to treat the infection. It can be consumed or can be applied to the vagina with the help of a tampon.
Honey is also effective in getting rid of the yeast infection in the vagina. An amount of honey can be rubbed on the affected zone of the vagina when bathing and should be rinsed with warm water. Wet clothes and tight lower garments like leotards or pantyhose should be avoided if there is a yeast infection accompanied with pain during urination. Clothes made of natural cotton fiber are suggested to be worn instead. And wet clothes or those drenched with water should be changed and the vagina should be frequently washed with fresh water.
