Here is the review of my Yongnuo YN-560. I received my YN-560 from Yongnuo last week from the factory with 1 year warranty. First of all I want to say is that it feels like exactly like Canon 580EX II, weight , built , quality . Its even got the rubber on the side like Canon EX580 II. Battery door is spring loaded like Canon EX580 II. Its even got the diagram on how to place the battery.

Features & Pricing:

Yongnuo YN-560 has got an external power slot and PC port. Its good because I am using mostly off camera flash, syncing out with cyber synch. Its got lot of nice features. Doesnt have TTL, but power button is hold it to turn on and off so you dont accidentally turn it on/off.

YN 560 has zoom for 24 to 105 the same as Canon EX580 II. It has power setting from full to 1120 and works really well. It also has full manual. Slave 1 and 2.

Its got flash ready beep, which is nice especially if youre using it for off camera flash so you know when its ready. You can also adjust your power setting with navigation button.

Its very powerful at full. Its almost blinding. I used it last night and you just pop it off your hand. However from what Ive heard and read, the pilot button is very hard to press. Not sure if you guys are also having the same problem.

The recycle time on full is 2, 3 seconds which is very reasonable. Especially considering the fact that this flash is only 80 bucks ( in my case think you can get them cheaper in Amazon ) as opposed to brand new $450 Canon 580EX II.

YN-560 looks exactly like the 580 and swivels 90 degree one way and 180 degree to the left. It also has diffuser and balance card and also spring loaded just like the 590. I cant stress enough how similar it is to 580. It really makes you question why youd want to buy 580 when the only difference is the TTL capability. There may be few more minor difference ones but they are quite negligible.

But if you are going to do portraits, reception, state shots and youre going to be in room, you really cant beat this for the money.

I was quite happy with their delivery. They got it wrong the first time but they sent in the express delivery when I rang them. So I am quite pleased with their customer service too. If you get them from the online guys like Amazon, brand new, youll also get the warranty I think. Just check it anyway

Yongnuo is really nice flash with great for off camera flash, background lighting, hair lighting stuff like that. Ive also heard good feedbacks, from what Ive heard from other people.
