A friendly game will allow players to make some of the rules and whatever is agreed upon is how everyone will play. If you are playing in a tournament there will be specific regulations you will want to follow and as you are practicing you will want to make sure that you follow these specifications so that you are practicing with the same specifications that will be involved in the tournament.

The Cornhole board can be made of plastic, wood, or carbon fiber. If you play for fun, you may want to consider purchasing a plastic game board that is lightweight and can easily be transported with you from place to place. You will be able to pull your board out at a family reunion or other large gathering and allow everyone to play at a moments notice. The wooden boards are much heavier and if you play for home use it may be okay, but if you plan on transferring this board, you may want to consider a more lightweight version.
