You could choose to pay for radio advertising, but radio advertizing costs are not cheap. Especially during prime time hours and on popular syndicated shows, even a 15 or 30 second slot can be prohibitively expensive. Besides, people don't really pay much attention to them anyway. They do, however, pay attention to interviews. In fact, that's exactly why they're listening. Believe it or not, it's not that hard to get free publicity through giving radio interviews.

The radio stations are actually hungry for new people to interview. They are not just after famous personalities, they are after attention grabbing, controversial topics as well. They know their listeners tune in for topics of interest to them. If you have something to offer that people want to know about, you probably won't have any trouble at all finding an interview slot to fill.

In these uncertain times, everyone is worried about the economy. It doesn't matter whether or not they agree with what you have to say. As they say, "There's no such thing as bad publicity."
