2. If you want a future with your former girlfriend, focus on the here and now.

If the reason why you want to reconnect with a former girlfriend is because you want to date her again, then you need to focus on the present. You need to make her feel like she could have a good life with you right now if she was dating you again. That is going to be WAY more influential than talking about the past will be.
