You can obviously market affiliate products to your list. This again, is an on-going process where you can market to them over and over again for the life of your list.

There are a lot of other opportunities that you can use your mailing list for. The first is to simply build up your authority and your reputation. You obviously want to give them some free information, you want to help them out and show them that you're looking out for their best interests.

You can use your mailing list for other things. You can use it to attract affiliates for your products. You might have some really talented people on your list, that are willing to promote your product or products.

You can do cross promotions with other marketers. If you promote this aspect of my business to your list, I will do the same with mine. You can really get creative and do a lot of different things.

The sales process is exactly that, a process. With a mailing list you can give away a free product and have them sign up for a mailing list that sends them a different message, every couple of days trying to sell them on a particular product.
