You should also add liberal quantities of fiber foods to your meal. Fiber foods are vegetables including green, leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, wholesome grains and beans. The main benefit of eating such fiber foods are that they do not add to your fat but at the same time, you can feel full soon, due to which you can avoid over-eating.


While adding fats to your food, you should ensure to add only good fats which you get from olive oil, fish oil, etc. Carbohydrates should also be good carbs that you get from fruits and vegetables and not the bad ones that you get from sugary foods like sweets, ice creams, candies, cakes and pastries, white flour and processed flour.

If you feel that you are extremely hungry and need to eat something urgently, you should opt for vegetable salads and fruits instead of snacks that are junk and processed foods. Junk and processed foods do more harm to you than good. Processed foods contain chemical preservatives that induce free radicals to inflict immense damage to your health. Further, these toxins remain inside the fat cells and hence the fat cells become too strong to get rid of.


Vegetable salads and fruits must be eaten prior to your meal so that you will feel full sooner and avoid over-eating. You can also try the trick of drinking one or two glasses of water before your meal to avoid over-eating. Water has the capacity to make you feel full. Most of the times, when we feel hungry, it may turn out to be thirst. This can be tested by drinking one or two glasses of water and if the hunger subsides, it shows that your body needs water and not food.

Experts also advise that you should have dinner two hours before you retire for bed because you may not have any physical activity during nights. "Sleep a while after lunch and walk a mile after your dinner" goes the saying. Hence you can have a siesta after your lunch and must walk at least a mile after your dinner to burn your calories and lose fat quickly.
