Young Nba Scoring Champ Lead Thunder Vs Mighty Lakers In 1st Round Of Playoffs

The youngest scoring leader in the history of National Basketball Association (NBA) is now ready to go higher in professional basketball.

Oklahoma Thunder 21-year-old leader star forward Kevin "Silky Smooth" Durant is now ready to lead his team against the favored and defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.

The young NBA star finished with an average of 30.1 points, 0.4 ahead of NBA superstar and Cleveland Cavaliers main man Lebron "King" James, and supplanted 22-year-old Max Zaslofsky of the 1947-48 Chicago Stags as the youngest scoring champ in NBA history.

Durant achieved the feat in 114-105 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies wherein he scored 31 points against the tough and determined defense of the Grizzlies.

The victory of the Thunder is their 50th win in the NBA regular season which is a 27 wins improvement the past NBA season.

The chance to compete for the playoffs is also the first time for the team in their young stint at the NBA.

The young star forward is very happy with their chance to compete for the NBA playoffs for the first time.

Durant said the odds might be on their side as they compete against the Lakers he and the rest of his troops will do their best to upset the defending champion.

The young NBA star revealed his team might be composed of young professional basketball players but they always compete hard and 100 percent in their every game.

He said the opportunity to go against Lakers superstar guard is also something he looks forward to in their first round playoff match-up.

Durant assured their fans that their team will compete hard and will not easily fall down against the Lakers.
