Moving things takes time, effort, and money so you should only transport the things that you really need to your new property in Egypt. There is no use paying to ship boxes to Egypt, which you will never even open when they get there and simply shove into a storage space.

Storage Space Issues

Your new real estate in Egypt might have a lot less storage space than you are used to, and therefore you will likely not have the room to store all of the boxes and things that you have gathered over the years. If you can cut down your clutter, it will be able to fit into your new home. Once you have cut it down that much, why not get rid of just a little bit more, so that you have some room for if you acquire new possessions after you have moved to Egypt.

Don't Be Too Sentimental

For this process, you must first get yourself in the right mind-set and eliminate all nostalgia and sentimentalism. Many people will hold onto just about anything because it evokes a memory of the past. When sorting out your possessions, divide them into three groups: stuff that is working and in good condition that you could sell in a yard sale, something that you could donate to a shelter or thrift shop, or broken, damaged, or worthless stuff that you can recycle or throw away. Remember, sometimes it is more expensive to ship an item than it would be to buy a new one once you get to Egypt, so keep this in mind.
