But now we have a modern and economical twist to the classic and traditional flower bouquet. For weddings, Valentine's Day celebrations, and other special occasions, you can now give bouquets made not of flowers but, rather, candy! This attractive treat will definitely melt one's heart with its sweetness and beauty. A bouquet of no less than 15 candy bars (or more!) will put a smile on anyone's face. They are colorful and fun, but more than their looks are appealing. They're delicious! Depending on the candy included in the bouquet, they could also be saved and savored by sight for years. You can buy candy bouquets premade (or custom-designed) in specialty stores, but these can be expensive, too. However, you can make your own, spend less, and best of all, make it more personalized to the recipient and that much more meaningful. Making your own candy bouquet is simple. Just follow these steps for a basic bouquet.

Purchase foil-wrapped candies (usually available in the color of your choice). If you're not following a specific color theme for your event, it is best if you go for rich colors. Foil-wrapped candies in red, violet, green and other deep jewel colors work very nicely at catching the eye.

Choose a container, such as a flowerpot or any decorative vase. You can further decorate the container by painting it or using ribbons or bows to add a flair of elegance or whimsy. Make sure the color of the container complements the candy bouquet!

Place a Styrofoam or dried oasis brick (cut to size) into the base of the container. Next, insert a foam ball on a dowel into the base and cover with fake moss or shred in a complementary color. Use florist pins to attach both ends of the candy to the foam ball. Repeat until the ball is covered to your satisfaction.

You can add other decorations and embellishments as you wish: glue candies to the rim of the container, add beads or ribbons. You are only limited by your imagination. You can also follow a color theme or combine colors to make them really stand out. These candy bouquets are perfect as centerpieces and are sure to give guests a topic of conversation. You can also give them to your loved one for Valentine's Day or for romantic anniversary celebrations. Use them as wedding centerpieces or for your flower girl to carry instead of a flower basket with loose petals. For a really classy look, add real or silk flowers and beaded ribbons into the foam ball along with the candies. Top it off with a cascade of curled ribbon, and you'll have created a gift they'll always remember.
