With so much reliance on one device it always amazes me when I see people walking around without a protective case on their phone. One small bump on the bus or subway and you could quite easily drop and smash your iPhone. Silicone cases have been designed to absorb the shock of knocks and bumps. These cases are soft to the touch and provide a level of 'stickiness' that will ensure you do not accidentally allow your iPhone to slip out of your hand. If buying a silicone case make sure that it is not so soft that your iPhone practically hangs out of the case!
Plastic Cases
Plastic cases are much more sturdy than silicone cases and will withstand much harder knocks and bumps. Plastic cases do tend to be a bit more 'chunkier' than silicone cases but if it is protection that you are after then you may not mind a slightly bigger case.
Combination Cases
Combination cases combine the best of both silicone and plastic into the one iPhone case! If you work outdoors, or like to travel a lot then a combination case is probably the case for you.
Whatever you do, make sure you have a protective case for your iPhone. Do not wait for the day that you drop your iPhone to realize just how much you rely on this fantastic little gadget!
