Your Wish Is Our Command
Oftentimes, when you buy an appliance of furniture
, your vendor would also throw in a free product assembly service. This is because, oftentimes, you cannot just up and buy items from a furniture store and carry it in whole to where you live. Aside from needing a big truck to do that, there is also the possibility that you would ruin your newly bought appliance or furniture.
Having your purchased item delivered and installed, however, is not an easy task. One of the things that you need to do is to check for damages in the box or the casing of your furniture or appliance. If there is any damage, there is also a good deal that your appliance has been damaged.
It also pays to check against a list what parts should be included in the delivery. It would be better if you can do this while the delivery guy is still nearby. That way, you can easily ask them to replace any missing part. Make sure also that you have enough room for the installer guy to spread out all the parts and work their way in building your furniture or appliance.
Make sure that you check each part for any damages. Do not forget also to go over the quality of the craftsmanship.
Cheap tooling used will most likely leave uneven tool marks so you might need to ask the installer to do some minor touch-ups before proceeding in installing your item. Keep an eye on your item during the entire installation so that you have an idea how to go about it.
If your vendor does not provide for a
product assembly service, you might have to set-up your item by yourself. Make sure that you understand the instructions before you go hammering things together. Do your installation near the place where your appliance or furniture would be permanently placed. This would keep you from having to drag your item around. It is also recommended that you have someone to help you go over the process as well as make sure that you have the tools needed to make the set-up of your item an easy task. Begin first with the largest piece and then move to the smaller ones.
Sticking to the instruction manual is your best bet if you would be doing a DIY or in the absence of a product assembly service from your vendor. Keep in mind that slight deviations might only result to greater damage to your item.
