Now that times are harder, the crime rate continues to surge. Each day, it becomes more evident that self defense should be a necessary skill. Unfortunately, not everyone feels physically equipped to fight attackers back.

I am a student of Culinary Arts in Philadelphia. I have always wanted to enroll in martial arts in a real self defense school but did not have the extra time.

On November 17, 2008, I went to Old City because I got a cooking job at the Buddakan. As I was driving I had a flat tire.

While changing it, a tall man with a big built stopped at the back of my car. He moved toward me and asked more than a few times if I wanted help. I told him over and over that I am fine and I can handle it.

His breath smelled like alcohol and he looks upset that I did not want to be helped. At that moment, I was starting to feel nervous of him being there.

He begun to grab my arm and I quickly pulled out my real self defense device inside my pocket. I stunned with a 100,000 volt Z-Force stun gun one time in the abdomen and it made him stop. I stunned him again in the chest and he fell on his knees and hit the pavement.

As he was lying there I stunned him once more on his nape with my real self defense weapon. Frightened, I left the area and after that I realized I had to go back. As I steered back a law enforcer and an ambulance got there too. They transferred him on the stretcher and loaded him in the ambulance.

A couple of days after that this man was still in the hospital with his heart rhythm being stabilized as he lied on his bed with a respirator. A few more days passed and he has finally recovered and was discharged.

Because of what he has done to me he was charged with attempted assault. Scared for my personal security that day, I believe my real self defense weapon, the Z-Force stun gun probably saved me.
