Most of us have been brought up believing that the Police are the law, and the thought that you may be able to question the decision of a police officer would never cross our minds. However, the most important thing to remember is to seek advice as quickly as possible. It is easy to sit with your head in your hands...more

Is A Diesel Car A Better Deal Given Fuel Prices? by:Dirk Gibson

The cost of fuel has to be a big part of any consideration you give to buying a new car. It was only a year ago that fuel cost as much as $4 a gallon in some areas. The economic meltdown brought the cost down, but it is rising again as things slowly improve. The United States car market is primarily based on gasoline powered vehicles. Diesel fuel is used primarily for larger cargo trucks and the like. Well, this is beginning to change. Diesel consumer cars are very popular in Europe. The reason? They get better mileage than gas driven cars.As fuel prices have risen in the United States, diesel cars have started to make a comeback. From Volkswagen to BMW, the idea of driving a diesel is becoming much more attractive given the mileage you can get. A 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI, for instance, can get up to 50 miles per gallon of diesel fuel. That is more than many Prius hybrid models will do with gas.Ah, but does this miles per gallon advantage that diesels have make them the obvious choice when you are considering a new car? Well, not necessarily. There is a second issue you need to consider when it comes to fuel cost. The issue is simply the cost at the pump. Diesel used to be much...more

Without just one tire, the whole car is immobilized. Think about it like this: what other car part do we keep a spare of in every single car? I don't have a...more

The XJ Series By Yamaha, Solid and Reliable. by:Jim R Myers

The Yamaha XJ series was produced from 1981 until 1991 after that it was replaced by the Yamaha Diversion. It is a lightweight bike weighing only five hundred pounds, with an in line fore cylinder engine and is one of the first bikes to have a mono rear suspension. Today they are relatively cheap to pick up and serve as great bikes for getting around town or getting to and from work. The Yamaha XJ 650 was and still is a very useful bike that can be picked up for less then two thousand dollars. This bike is great for any one looking to test their hand at fixing up an old bike. The engine feels weak wile in the lower RPMs but that is due to the in line 4-cylinder. The breaking is very weak and is definitely one of the first things that needs to be upgraded. Other then the breaking there are usually only 3 things that to be done. The oil needs to be changed, spark plugs changed, and new air filter. The Yamaha XJ 700 offers a little bit more powerful engine with 86 horsepower. But it still has the problem of not enough power in lower RPMs. However it compares nicely to any 600cc sport bike on today's market and rides very comfortably. It has a seat height of thirty inches and the front...more
