The Italian league football is a collection of national tournaments set up by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). The championships are divided and organized into 10 levels, the first 4 are framed in the profession, while the remaining 6 are for amateurs.

The Italian championships of professionalism are classified in four:

Serie A

it is a tournament that takes place among 20 teams from the 2004-05 season. The team that gets the most points in Serie A wins the champion of Italy, known and distinguished by a special badge. Each group has two teams, three teams promoted and relegated in the same quantity: the first of each group is promoted directly while the second, third, fourth and fifth ranked dispute the playoffs, and the same applies in reverse where the last scheduled repayments is relegated directly while the four teams that precede the play-out dispute.

Second Division,

the latest series of Italian professional football, is divided geographically into three groups: A, B and C, with 17,16,16 participants. Each group has two teams, three teams promoted and relegated in the same quantity: the first of each group is promoted directly while the second, third, fourth and fifth ranked dispute the playoffs, and the same applies in reverse where the last scheduled repayments is relegated directly while the four teams that precede the play-out dispute.
