FREEDOM
a very special friend of mine once asked me to think on something which may seem to be very futile,to think about.but,to even make it futile one needs to initiate in some way.he wanted me to think on something which has been so far quite anonymous and unidentified in my life.so, as per his instructions i started to think about FREEDOM.i chose to think on a very general aspect.
freedom can never be well defined because it has different dimensions for different individuals.for instance,a boy whose below eighteen years of age ,may not experience as much freedom as his father would,although the same boy might be happy in his own right and personal situation.the limitations and dimensions of freedom for the boy and his father are undubiously different.
as our age progresses our thoughts expand. we want do so many things in life,or rather say,we want to achieve so much ,as we all are ambitious.but ,somehow there may be some unwanted obstacles intruding between us and our aims,although the obstacles are always unwantedJbut still we as humans, we enjoy the fact of achieving something by facing them.this makes our struggle much more meaningful and significant.
now,its not a necessary fact that these obstacles can be lack of finances, hard work,concentration, intelligence,determination.but it can also be the lack of freedom.to make it more elaborate and clear lets take a hypothetical situation,suppose ten people are to reach a bus stop from their different homes,then they will follow ten different paths to reach the destination.on a larger scale ,this eventually tells us that every person has his own unique way of doing certain things and methodology to achieve success and goals.
if the concerned person is denied of the freedom to follow the path which he desires to follow to achieve his goal,then this person may always remain at the mercy of his brutal destiny and would never taste success in life.
freedom is in itself so vast that it may turn out to be an eternal discussion,and one can go on and on talking about it.as taught in our schools, freedom can be of speech,expression,it can be of following and practicing any religion or to travel to any part of our native country etc.i find all these to be very literate and bookish forms of freedom.although these can be identified in our daily lives with much ease,but there is an important aspect of freedom and also the simplest yet complicated,it is the freedom to live our own life,the very way we want to live it.its like spending every day,your way!spending every minute of your life the way you want to utilise it.
i would want myself to enjoy the benefits of my most treasured and adorable asset,ie. freedom,throughout my life.but at the same time ,i need to make sure that i do not take my freedom and authority for granted.though ,no one has given it to me its totally mine and while enjoying this eternal asset of mine,no one should be hurt intentionally or unintentionally.if i satisfy these set of conditions ,then i do not think i might end up doing something which will make me feel regretful.
now,let us widen our views and try to go about it in a sequential order.let us analyse freedom for people of different age groups.
starting from the very beginning ie. analysing freedom of a newly born child.it may seem foolish to certain people to talk about the freedom of a newly born child,because he has just arrived in this world and is unaware of everything and is just a mere rookie in this whole new world.the baby is too small to understand or gauge anything.
but by far most,this lucky chap has got plenty of freedom to his name.no one will even raise a finger on him ,irrespective of whatever the child does.for instance,he may defecate,whenever and where ever he wants to.he can cry for the whole day!he can hit anyone,although that hardly makes a difference!so he is set free to do anything irrespective of it being destructive or constructive:)still people around him will be jovial and would cherish every moment of all his activities.he will be loved by everyone unconditionally!!........
