Know How to Say "No" To Your Child One of the most common scenarios in a parent's life involves having to refuse the wishes of a child for their own good. For pre-teen kids, it can end up with them comparing you to their friend's parent. Consider this for a moment. You have an 8 year-old son who asks for a skate ramp in the backyard for his birthday.
