Another benefit to finding a neighborhood tutor is the fact many times they are younger. It isn't a secret that younger people can usually relate preferable to people nearer to what their age is. So instead of seeking to relate to my 70 years old teacher, I was trying to connect with someone who was just 3 years older than me. This made a significant difference and helped me to acquire better grades during my college classes. We were able to make similar connections between whatever i was learning and our generation.

Throughout my entire life I always thought that my parents thought that I would never graduate from college. Because of my learning disability, I believe they thought I'd drop out. They often laughed and said that they worried about me failing out of college. By obtaining a local tutor, I was able to prove them wrong and pass all of my classes necessary to graduate college. When I graduated, they were so proud of me as well as surprised. I was pleased with myself also but I definitely owe lots of my success to my tutor. I couldn't have graduated college my tutor.
