Chimpanzees are members of what is known as the Hominidae family and are classified together with humans, gorillas and orangutans. They are the closest living relatives to humans and during the human evolution about 6 million years ago they split on their own way. There are two common types of the species namely the Common Chimpanzee and the Bonobos.Chimpanzees especially the Bonobos are found on the Democratic Republic of Congo whereas the others are natives of the West and Central Africa.
