No dehydrator? Try this "cooking" method to create some Zesty Zucchini Tomato Flax Crackers!These crackers are SUPER delicious and you can cut them large enough to make a small 'sandwich.' They are also a perfect healthy snack whenever you need a little something to munch on! I once made these crackers on vacation using a regular gas oven. Here's how:Turn your oven on to the lowest setting and wait about 10 minutes for it to heat up.Stick a thermometer in your oven and test things out. If the temperature is 115 degrees or less, you've got yourself a dehydrator.If the temperature of your oven is too warm, try propping the door open about 6 inches and check the temperature again. If it's 115 degrees or less, you are in business!I strongly recommend that you use this method only on a temporary basis. It wastes a ton of gas or electricity and you have to be home and awake the entire time that you are dehydrating. I do not recommend using this method often for a few reasons. Ovens do not tend to dehydrate food evenly. This method of dehydrating is definitely not energy efficient and is far more costly in the long run than purchasing a dehydrator.
