I did all the wrong things, but I made some great memories that will stay with me even if it takes me awhile to go play again. My spouse went in and took care of the fees and the cart rental. We packed it up and took off, intent on showing me how to hold a club and practice a little putting before hitting the course. I was pretty sure I could separate my ego from the game that day and not care how I played, just learn the fundamentals and improve next time. That, my friend, is easier said than done.
