IT HAS BEEN A BUMPER WEEK for Lancaster & Morecambe College, who in the same week as submitting detailed plans for a multi-million pound redevelopment of the College campus have found out that they are ranked in the top 10 Colleges in the country for success.Lancaster and Morecambe College have teamed up with Ellis Williams Architects to deliver a complete redevelopment of their campus and facilities. With the delivery of some of the new facilities planned for as soon as September 2012 this promises to be an exciting project for the College and the local community.The experienced team at Ellis Williams are recognised for championing the importance of good design within the Further Education sector and have delivered over 30 FE Projects in last 10 years.The College has been awarded a 2 million grant by the Skills Funding Agency and will be adding a further 6 million to fund the first phase of the redevelopment project. As a coach, you can bet, my family watched every conceivable Olympic competition over the last few weeks. We watched track, triathlon, sand volleyball, court volleyball, tennis, water polo, biking, fencing, and archery (online) wrestling. I have a policy that I always answer questions that my kids ask, I try to give them a good understanding of their inquiries because I love being able to refer to Owen as my deep thinking 7.9 year old. So what did I say?Winners are winners for many different reasons. Sadly sometimes people win because they were lucky or in the right place at the right time.
