"garage Sale"
I was walking on my way to school when I saw my neighbor has a one day garage sale
. Its not just an ordinary garage sale of clothes, toys, utensils and any other. There are also old items being sold in my neighbors garage. When I was about to approach, I saw an old lady crying near beside the garage. And when I asked her why she is crying, she said that her daughter (who happens to be my neighbor) included her antique collection in the garage sale, and she could not stop her. I felt pity for the old lady. How dare her daughter do that to her just because of money? And here is another thing, even the gifts of her father to his mother, the antique porcelain, she also sells it, and her mother was just crying because of what she has done. The old lady said that she understand that they are going through some financial crisis at this point of their lives but she really felt bad that her collections had to be put up for sale especially her most treasured ones. I suddenly felt that I want to help her, and I remember my grandfathers best friend who used to be an owner of an antique store and helped in my screenplay before. I called him and asked him if he could drop by in our village because I need his help again.
When he arrived, I talked to him and told him about the situation of the old lady. I asked him if he could help me to buy the antique collection to her daughter and give it back to the old lady. My grandpas friend found it silly but he also felt pity for her. He agreed, he said that good thing it is being sell for a low price, because if not, hell ask me to pay him and then he smiled saying hes just joking. So he bought the collection of the old lady, figurines, porcelains, and other displayed antiques there. The daughter was shocked when I gave back all the antiques to her mother. I turned to her and said not to sell those antiques again because I own it now. I only said that for her to get rid of those antiques. The old lady was very happy when we handed her things back. Then she gave me an antique lamp and said thank you. At first I refuse to accept it but she insisted. Then me and my grandpas friend said goodbye.
While walking, I handed the antique lamp to grandpas friend. I said that I dont have enough money to repay him for what he did that is why I owe him so much gratitude. So I told him to keep the lamp instead, besides I really dont like to collect antiques as much as he like. He said thank you and that I dont have to pay him for what he did because he treats me as his own granddaughter too. I felt happy to hear that there are always people who are always willing to help others. I believe that if every person develops that kind of attitude, the world will become a better place. Then I realized I was about to go to school and I am already late!
