To successfully maneuver through these difficult challenges, we must understand the difference between truth and facts, as well as how they affect each other.Definitions:FactsFacts are what we sense in the natural. At the wedding at Cana, Jesus saw the servants place water into six...more

The Holy Trinity And Roman Catholic Influence -- An Introduction by:John M Bland

It must be noted as we begin that the view of the "Holy Trinity" is not a concept that is definitively taught in the Biblical scriptures. It was not until Gentiles entered the ranks of believers that the theology was seriously considered. In fact, "church" leaders and authorities were still arguing its merits before and after the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD where it was "officially" adopted by the majority. Until then, and to some extent even...more

Is There A Need For A Non Ecclesiastical Translation â€" Absolutely! by:John M Bland

In spite of the title of this article, you are still probably asking yourself if the English-speaking world really needs another New Testament translation. The answer is a definitive -- YES!There are many reasons but I will give you the best reason first. The Kings James Version proved to be so popular that other versions that came along afterwards were forced into using much of the same vernacular in order to be economically viable. In other words, if these companies expected to sell their versions, they were forced to keep much of the KJV vernacular and many obvious transliterations. For an example of transliteration you can examine the Greek word "angelos." Angelos correctly translated would render messenger, every time. However, Instead of translating angelos into the English word messenger the KJV scholars transliterated it angel. You might ask yourself why would they do such a thing in the first place? Only God knows for sure but one safe bet would be that the term was already in common use when the manuscripts were translated.Besides, “angel” held a strong connection with the human psyche then and now because of the images it conjures up in the mind. You have a...more

Blood Is Man's Most Powerful Agent...Biologically & Spiritually (part 2) by:Denis Van Loan

In part 1 the parallel function of blood is shown for both the biological and the spiritual, pointing to a common Designer and Creator. Wholeness/ preservation of life, cleansing/purification/freedom, and healing were covered in part 1. These are parallel attributes both biologically and spiritually. We continue to explore the parallel in blood: peace/harmony/reconciliation, protection from evil and victory.4. Biologically blood provides peace/ harmony and reconciliation. Blood mediates and integrates all biochemical functions of the body. A buffer system keeps the blood from becoming too acidic or too alkaline. (This is very important in body chemistry.) The body is assaulted by what is ingested and by what is produced from within. For instance, an over-indulgence in a substance would not just temporarily incapacitate the individual, but would kill him if the buffer system could not balance the excess of it, producing acidosis or alkalosis.Who of us has not experienced sore muscles from over-exercising? This is most frequently an accumulation of lactic acid (waste product) which irritates the muscles. The circulatory system (via blood flow) neutralizes this imbalance of acid...more
