, i feel like if i hear it one more time today Im going to rip that apple icon off my designers computer with my teeth! I am a lowly graphic designer who got into seo as I have an enquiring mind and dont like being bullshitted by my staff, clients or the vampires who try and sell you solutions that mean nothing at the end of the day. So I started learning and listening and got completely overwhelmed, until I joined forces with a very clever and patient guy, Darryl and we now work together on trying to quiet the noice of seo and all the dark angels that fly amongst it.

The most scary are our clients who know very little about the " s " word but seem to beleive after a month they should be on the first page of google, well shirlock that aint gonna happen and anyone that promises you that, is smoking a very green weed and you should smoke it too if you believe them. We beleive strongly in page leverage as well as back links but the better your on page seo is the better, wordpress blogs which function as great web sites and blogs are ideal platforms for you to maximize your seo by underling, bolding and italising the text as well as using the key words in each paragraph of your article. make sure your images are labelled correctly and your alt tags are seperated by a hyphen not a space.

We also track our clients web sites on google analytics to see what kind of traffic they are looking at! BUT NOW HERE comes the big question "there is traffic but is there sales?" now my seo friends and coders what's the point of all this work if its not converting to sales!!! So Now that I know about seo and social media which are your back links as well as classified adverts I decided to look back and ask why well its easy, its great to get traffic and awareness but when they get to the site or the product its gotta be funky and eye catching with cool campaigns or competitions running otherwise whats the point! Branding and marketing in the form of GRAPHIC DESIGN is still a huge benefit to the web site and the customer, there is no replacement for good design and a well thought through campaign, never ever. It all needs to work in conjunction with all the ingredients as you know when baking a cake if you leave out certain ingredients it will not rise and neither will your business. the only rising here will be your stress levels.
