This medication works effectively for treating canine and feline dermatomycoses disorder which is caused due to micros-Porum canis. This medication can also be used in the otic and dermal symptoms that occur due to the sensitive to the pathogens in dogs. It is composed of miconazole nitrate, polymyxin B and prednisolone acetate.

How should I give this medication to my dog?

Surolan ear medication should be given as per the dosage and the frequency suggested by the doctor. The dog should be medically checked in order to see whether or not the medication is performing well. This medication may cause hearing problem but the dog will regain itself after few days.Surolan medication will also cause the dog to vomit, hypersensitivity reactions and red blisters on pinna.

What precautions should be followed while using Surolan?

This medication should be given after examining the external canal of the ear so as to see whether or not the tympanic membrane is ruptured. Treatment with this medication should be discontinued if there is an over growth or occurrences of non-susceptible bacteria or fungus. There is no proper information regarding the uses of this medication in the dog that is breeding and in the dog which is pregnant.
