...then the days come,when his boby starts shrinking,face starts corrugating,hair turns grey & comes his old age. Ahead of him stands his self groomed,splendid family tree,yet he remains single & lonely.

This is the time when not only the body,the mind & the soul too need a pillar to support & sustain. Old age is like the last bead added to the string of life. His 'life string' runs through the generations after him. Unfortunately we,theso called life string bearers fall a victim to time.Westart the never ending rat race,where we keep on castling our dreams, & we fool ourselves to grab them,not even caring to think about our nurturers we left behind. The string,the bond tears apart. The old age finds its brand new address...'a home away from home'...The Old Age Home. His preoccupied blood bearers become his weekend visitors.

I believe this is high time our conscience needs to be questioned.

Are we really so occupied with our lives? I believe our unanimous answer would be that we are busy not with our lives but with our own selves.Had it been ourlife then how come we forget them. Aren't they the ones who showed us this wonderful earth? Aren't they the ones who stood beside us in the worst of our times? Aren't they the ones for whom we hold our heads high to add our designation to our names?

Then are we scared of our duties & responsibilities today? Yes we are. If we are aware of this thenwhy not sparing them an hour from our day,why not just being compassionate enough to listen to what they feel or they want to share.Even the smallesttouch on their hands can make them feel the warmth they have never felt before, can make their heart brim with joy. This can make thecoundown of their life happy& worth living,rather making them regretful.
