I had a conversation awhile back with a coworker and we were talking about favorite actors. He asked me who my favorite actor was I said have no all time favorite but you can't go wrong with Denzel Washington and his body of work. This past weekend I took in his latest work unstoppable. .

The movie stars Denzel Washington as ( Frank barns ) grizzled veteran engineered,and Chris Pine (will colson)and Rosario Dawson Yard master Connie hopper. This movie is based on a true story about 2 train engineers were out doing their regular train runs and find out that there is a unmanned train that started out as a coaster, a train that is unmanned going only going 10 miles an hour until the emergency brake unlocks and the train picks up speed flying through various hight populated towns. The one catch is that the train has cars that are loaded with highly toxic chemicals that can level a town if it. Explodes. While frank and will were on there way back they get a call telling them about the train.

The tension about what can happen grabs you from the beginning whether train takes off unmanned from the local rail yard and the damage it causes along. The chemistry between Denzel the veteran and Cris pine the rookie was very good. I like how they used the natural look of the town for the back drop, explaining the story of a blue collar town as it faced this nightmare. There are many scenes that keep you on your toes like the train coming around a part if the track that is wide curve and lt left you holding your breath.. The scene where crisp pine introduces himself to his coworkers, one of the old timers kept looking at him. Will shoots back is there a problem is there something wrong, the old timer look at him and say I don't like working in a nursery school, will shoots back ,well I don't like workining in senior citizens home either Priceless.. I think Cris pine is a creditable actor and definitely has a bright future ahead of him as a leading man. You can't go wrong with Denzel and this action packed wild ride. It's well worth the money I would give it 3 stars.
