subject: Reason To Learn Another Language [print this page]

Learning a new language can be difficult, but it is something that everyone should do. Most people don't even want to try to learn another language, can't learn a second language, or don't use the language and eventually just forget about it. So you might wonder why you should even consider learning another language. I have thought about this myself before I decided to learn another language. The only reason that I still decided to was because I am planning on traveling to Italy and would like to be able to communicate well within their culture. Also I was planning on going back from time to time throughout my life. So one the negative things about learning a new language wasn't going to be a problem for me. I guess I'm say that you should be thinking of things like this to help you decide what you want to do. I found a good program that's easy to use here http://world-web-reviews.net/culture_and_language.html . If you still can't decide, I have come up with five reasons for someone to consider learning a new language.

Reason one- To visit another country, traveling the world is a wonderful experience and anyone with an opportunity to do so should take it.

Reason two- Some people have family in different countries with their own culture and language. So it would be a nice, fun thing to do learning your families heritage.

Third Reason- It would be helpful for many jobs, for instance a translator.

Four- A fourth reason would be to communicate with people within our country, a example of this would be the US's ever growing Spanish speaking population. This would also be a helpful thing for jobs within our country.

Fifth Reason- The last reason would be just the learning experience and knowledge gained through the process. More you exercise your mind, the better off you'll be.
