Training Hypnosis I yet came across a poster stuck on a restaurant message team when I headed out for lunch. The poster said, "Learn How to Hynotize and Start Influencing People." It easily caught my attention, not because I had prior mortgage in hypnosis, but because the title resembles one of my favorite self permit books, Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Training Hypnosis There was nothing completely wrong with beginning hypnosis training, even if you have no specific purpose for hypnosis. I was just curious and since curiosity has always gotten over me in the past, I called the number written on the poster and signed up for that weekend's session. The session was held in the function room of a restaurant downtown. When I entered the room, I was surprised to see about 30 people gathered there. Just like me, they were also beginning hypnosis training that day. I guess I was just surprised to have found out that there's a considerable number of people who are also interested in this phenomenon. Training Hypnosis The facilitator was a guy in his early 40s. His name was Martin. He started the session by telling us about his credentials and his background in hypnosis. He has no medical degree, but he did study psychology. He told us he got into hypnosis when he traveled to Hawaii for a vacation. There he saw a poster at the hotel's lobby where he was staying. Training Hypnosis It piqued his interest and he spent the following ten years mastering it. That first day, he explained what hypnosis is, its practical uses and even debunked some of the popular myths. I have to say that I'm glad I attended it and I am still studying hypnosis.
