Yes, it involves a lot of writing. It requires creativity, patience and some

mean copy writing skills. But article marketing is actually about building

trust, increasing credibility and of course, making sales.

Its also about having a sort of camaraderie with readers, enticing them to

visit your site, browse along the pages and read. In return, their interest

is piqued and they start doing business with you.

The world of the internet says that content is gold. If youve got great,

valuable content, you go up the ranks and become a legend. If you continue to

put out such content of excellent quality, you become more and more an

internet name.

How does article marketing build credibility you ask? Well it goes about in 3

different ways:

1. Provider of high quality content

You, being an article marketer, send your works to renowned and not-so-

renowned publications. After a few days of waiting, if your work is good

enough, you get published.

People then see your work and read it. If they are satisfied, they look for

more of your work and read them. Well written and well researched articles

often receive the most amount of hits.

You will then be known as someone who is a provider of high quality content.

Thats something to be proud of. There are many sites out there that put only

spam on their sites because they think this increases the chances that they

get traffic. Its true that they get traffic hits but more often than not,

people are not repeat visitors because of the quality of their work.

If you show people that what you give out is valuable and essential, they

tend to spread the word. This is more effective than any advertising since

testimonials give off a big impact on another persons decision. This means

they trust you enough to refer you to friends. Trust is the start of reliance

and reliance will soon lead to credibility.

2. Relevance to life

Tips and how tos are available for every kind of situation. Just type the

keywords on any ol search engine and a hundred results pop out.

However, there are those that stand out. Those are the articles that tell you

how-to's and gives you tips based on their own experiences. That being the

case, the readers are sure that they are tried and tested. This gives them

enough confidence to try them out on their own.

This is what relevance is. Relevance is how well the author can be sure that

the people reading his articles will be helped by what he writes. The more

relevant the article is, the more it will be remembered by the reader.

3. Give readers the sense that they know you

Article marketing can also make readers, in a way, to get to know you

personally. In online magazines and publications, there is this small box at

the end of every article that contains the authors name, contact information,

occupation, accomplishment and stuff. Sometimes, there is even a small bio

about that person. Or even a photograph.

This is called a resource box. This is important to the author because it

introduces him or her to the reader and more often than not, it provides a

link back to his site.

On the other hand, it is also important to the reader because he or she gets

to know who wrote the article. This gives them some degree of closeness with

the author, more especially if they have seen the photo.

Since it has the contact information, it tells the readers that they are free

to ask questions or give feedback. This will also be beneficial to the author

since a line of communication will be opened and a possible customer or

subscriber may materialize.

Article marketing is a new and fresh way to approach sales. Its a lot more

effective than spamming and will be a great augmentation to paid advertising.

It builds credibility for the writer and establishes trust and camaraderie

between the seller and the buyer.

Aside from that, it also brings to the surface how relations and friendships

form. The articles and works posted as article marketing are not only bids

for future transactions but are also sincere gestures that will help and

benefit other people who are struggling with their own situations.
