subject: World Of Warcraft Guide: News Of The Newest Cataclysm Expansion [print this page]

The one thing better than World of Warcraft is when World of Warcraft expansions are released. The new Cataclysm expansion introduces 2 new kinds of races ( while it still keeps Horde and coalition fondly in its marginal ). The first addition that boosts character development is the level cap increase. Before this, it was set to 80 levels but now includes an increase of five, bringing it up to 85 levels. Prior to this growth, players couldn't develop past the eighty but now, the new areas of dungeons will make leveling up to the maximum less complicated by employing monsters that are not only stronger but increase the degree of challenge and difficulty - therefore, making it that much more exciting!

One new character that'll be introduced in the release, is Deathwing the Destroyer, the dragon who escaped from the earth plane and wreaks havoc to the Azeroth. In the result of Deathwing the Destroyer, the old world has been forever changed - Ashevnvale to the Twilight Highlands look completely different. The screen shots of the changes show at least seven different new areas that include the coalition shelter of Stormwind and the Orc home. This revelation is reasonably exciting and many players are eagerly awaiting its release.

One of the most noted areas that are coming out with Cataclysm nevertheless, is Vashj'ir, an underwater journey that might or might not have a Queen. The most exciting feature of this level is that all of the fighting and battles will be underwater. This sprawling area will include a fight for survival environment where alliance and Horde ships, as well as submarines, will be introduced as new tools for combat. It will all start with a trouble message in a bottle found floating in the sea!

The creator of World of Warcraft, pen name Blizzard, decided against job class additions but instead opted to furnish players with more combinations of the two. For example, each race can receive one new trade to contribute to their ranks ( other will get two ). The new race combos are : human-hunter, orc-mage, night elf-mage, dwarf-mage, blood elf-warrior, dwarf-shaman, undead-hunter, tauren-paladin and priest, gnome-priest, and troll-druid. Such diverse combos will implement new quest option and play types which will reinforce a completely unique and exhilarating gaming experience.

A beta version of Cataclysm has been released but invitations were only given to the press. Thus, if you received an invite thru e-mail, chances are it's fake and you need to remove it before affecting your system.

Nevertheless, with the Cataclysm expansion edging its way closer we can't help but be excited!
