subject: The Chicken Mediterranean Taco Is Fit For A King! [print this page] After having exhausted all burrito combinations in Wellington, Florida (so far!) I have moved on to tacos! Tacos seem to be just what I need this summer. The pork mediterranean taco I dined on was absolutely exquisite. It's not often you come across such an agreeable taco for such an agreeable price. Frankly, I'm sick of the cheap fast food imitations. I want the real thing! And in this South Florida dining experience, I got it!
Immediately curious, I watched them start to prepare my taco. Or should I say tacos! Three soft flour tortillas were laid out just for me. They looked absolutely delicious, and I was anxious to see what happened next.
Then I was given the choice of any meat that I wanted. I was even able to add chicken and steak together, at no extra charge! Their other options included pork and chicken breast, all of which looked scrumptious!
I immediately saw what the nice employee was talking about! The first ingredient I saw was a rich black bean hummus, I was tickled!. It looked and tasted delightful. This unique and flavorful black bean hummus was really something!
The next item they added to each individual tortilla was diced tomatoes. They informed me that these tomatoes were grown and bought locally! In favor of local farming and of South Florida cuisine, I was not surprised to see that these tomatoes were fresh and fit for a king!
When I got to the cheeses, my eyes widened. Cheese is probably one of my favorite delicacies ever, and I was overwhelmed with choices. When I asked what they suggested for the mediterranean, the employees all recommended parmesan. They really knew what they were talking about!
I was more than willing to accept another suggestion of cucumbers. This ingredient ended up being one of my favorites in the whole taco dish. It gave the taco a coolness that it would have otherwise been without!
At last, you're at the sauce station. This is a very important station, and for the mediterranean, means you will be getting the balsamic vinaigrette. Wellington's balsamic vinaigrette is the perfect sauce for this taco dish!
