Are you confused about how to buy quality inkjet cartridges for your printer? There is nothing to be confused about. There are three major classifications of inkjet cartridges. First of all, you need to make your selection and pick one of the three options. Let's have a look at these categories

1. OEM manufactured products

These are the highest standard inkjet cartridges. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products are prepared by actual brands manufacturers which possess proper licenses. These products always carry a logo of the company which highlights the name of the organization. They are highly dependable and carry a high cost. Because they are made as per the original specifications and has the manufacturer's warranty

2. New third party products

Inkjet cartridges are not manufactured by licensed brands only. There are numerous companies accomplishing the same task. Do these products maintain the same quality and standard as the original ones? The answer is not always. Sometimes they do maintain a decent quality level but it is not equivalent to the products designed by an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). The appearance is quite similar to fit the size and space.

How do you differentiate between the two categories? The biggest difference is that the third party products do not have a brand image. Most companies make third party product designs for a number of companies. In terms of prices, these substitute cartridges are much cheaper than the original ones. However, size can be a big problem. A substitute cartridge does not have the exact dimensions as an original one. This is not always the case. There are many third party manufacturers who are well reputed and their products comes very close to the OEM product specification in quality and performance

3. Reused products

This is the cheapest option. Numerous companies refill your used cartridges and charge very nominal prices. The cartridge goes through a cleaning process and all the left over ink is washed out. After that the new ink is filled. If you are looking to save money, this is a cheap option. However, the performance is not that good. In many cases some parts of the cartridge may be damaged. These parts of are replaced and then the cartridge is tested before it is handed over to the customer. Refurbished products are more expensive as compared to the new third party products. This is because they use all the original parts used in cartridges produced by prolific brands.
