subject: Does Having A Positive Mental Attitude Create Wealth? [print this page] I keep reading that having a positive mental attitude can help you over come all or most of life's obstacles, but can it help you to create wealth? Books written from as far back as the Bible say that if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain. In Napoleon Hill's book, "Think and Grow Rich", he makes the statement that,"If you can believe it, you can achieve it." So I would have to think that there is some validity to this and I have to question why are most people not using this idea instead of settling for the statusquo?
Having a positive mental attitude has always been recognized and talked about in network marketers circles and for good reason, to build a business, you have to be upbeat and have a positive mental attitude in order to succeed. If you let your friends and family give you the,"don't try, what's the use, that will never work," attitude, you know if you buy into that, you will fail for sure.
It seems that positive thinking only comes from using what's called positive affirmations, unless you are a person who grew up always winning and have no clue what it feels like to try and try and not succeed. Positive affirmations are little sayings that you repeat to yourself over and over, in the morning, the afternoon, and before you retire for the night. It takes work and dedication just to remember to do this all day long. If you don't fix these affirmations into your brain then negativity creeps in and fills up the vacate spaces of your mind.
Winning the game in the power of positive thinking is continuous, and has to go on for a few months, just repeating the same positive affirmation or affirmations over and over until the mind starts to believe. It's been said the subconscious doesn't know the difference between fact or fiction, it only believes what you tell it. If you repeat over and over an affirmation that says, "I'm a winner, I'm a winner." Sooner or later your mind will start to believe that as opposed to feeding some negative saying over and over. How many times have you called yourself a looser and you didn't really mean it, but your mind heard it and now keeps feeding that programming back to you. If that happens you should immediately say," Cancel, Cancel." I'm a winner and reprogram you mind to feed that information back to you.
My positive thinking tip for you is to write down your affirmations, keep them with you at all times and even use your computer to make a subliminal tape that could be played while you sleep. It's easy to do, get a musical tape, soothing works the best, then read the affirmations onto the computer recorder with the soothing music playing in the background. Very easy to make a positive thinking tape.
