subject: Reverse Phone Lookup Is One Way To Find Information [print this page]

You can use reverse phone lookup to find out who keeps calling you. You can try finding out for free online yourself or you can pay a small fee to a phone lookup service.

You might be able to find the information yourself for free using a search engine. If you have the complete ten digit number, enter it into the search box. Enter the area code first, and then leave a space, and then enter the telephone number prefix, and then leave a space, and then enter the last four digits of the telephone number. Now click the submit button.

If you do not see the information you want, then remove the area code, and insert the city the area code represents. If you have the area code 213, this is a Los Angeles number, so write out Los Angeles instead of 213, then a space, the prefix, a space and then the last four digits.

If this still does not provide the information you want, try putting quotes around the seven digits, to let the search engine know you want the numbers in that sequence. If still no luck, you can go to a paid service online. Most charge a small fee for the information.

Many people receive calls on their cell phones from companies selling everything from magazine subscriptions to coupons for grocery shopping. People try calling the number back using their return call feature only to find that the number does not go through.

You can find out if this is happening to you by using this telephone number search. If the call is from companies doing this, you will find online posts from those who have gotten the same calls on their cells.

When you read that others are getting the same calls, you can confidently add this number to your call block list; this is one advantage to using reverse phone lookup.
