Situations that are unpleasant are a breeding ground for stress. From one specific standpoint, we live in a world that has to evolve and for that world to evolve, we must be measured by our potential to grow and meet other challenges. This is where stress comes in. It is the rubber band that exercises and challenges thought patterns so that those patterns coincide with the First Image which is what you are in your most free state. The next time you encounter stress, stop. Find a place where you can be alone (whether it's your cubicle, the water cooler, in your car or in the bathroom). Just find a place, shut your eyes and breathe in deeply. Listen to your body. Feel the physical sensations as your breath moves in and out. Focus your attention inward. Try to relax. Every breath you take in can relax another muscle, another joint, another cell membrane. Spend a few moments in stillness. When you open your eyes, you will be surprised at how refreshed you will feel.

Stress is an unavoidable consequence of life and it is not something exclusive of the human beings, because the animals also have it. But the stress it is not necessarily bad. With the daily changes in life, stress has become a growing factor and part of the culture that we live in. By understanding what stress is, and defining the symptoms that are a part of it, you can begin to overcome the problem of stress and live a much more relaxed and fulfilling life. A certain amount of stress is actually good for us. It keeps us adaptable and on our toes, and prepares us to cope with unexpected events. Successfully dealing with stress can improve our health and self esteem. Stress is our body's way of reacting to pressures or responsibilities that may seem overwhelming.

Social support can help moderate stress. Your family, friends and your community comprise your social support. This support gives you the knowledge that you are cared for, loved, esteemed, and valued. Research shows that there is a strong relationship between social support and better mental and physical health. Similarly to visualization hypnosis can be used to reduce stress. In addition to the benefits from positive imaging the body also receives the additional benefits of physical relaxation, a key to stress reduction. You can use self hypnosis or, if you are not skilled with that yet, you can have a professional hypnotist teach you methods of stress reduction that can also help you deal with many other areas of your life. This can be especially helpful if there is a situation you have been dealing with for a long period of time without resolution.

Stress can be addictive, contagious, debilitating, or invigorating. Relentless pressure to perform, personality conflicts, and lack of a sense of purpose can be damaging over time. Identify the causes, learn to control harmful stress, and use healthy stress to your advantage. The symptoms of stress are symptoms related to the causes of stress: physical, electromagnetic/geopathic, thermal, allergies/sensitivities, toxins/poisons, nutrition, and emotions. Healthy stress provides rich rewards as a result. The rewards may be a sense of personal achievement, a sense of camaraderie, or monetary compensation.
