Headlines and Visuals
Headlines and Visuals

Headlines and visuals are key players in getting individuals to stay on your site and read your Quality Content. Headlines are attention getting statements or questions. The last thing you need is a headline that goes glug glug and takes your marketing strategy down with it. Tell me which one gets your attention more? Don't struggle to pay your bills or Are you struggling to pay your bills? Headlines with the mere sight of a question marks kicks the brain into overdrive and wants to learn more. Add visuals with captions into the mix and your content will become a force to be reckoned with.

The brain is fixated on solving problems, it's a survival instinct. If you present a problem in the form of a question in your headlines and provide them with the solution within the body, you'll have what I like to call a double whammy, which will slam your readers brain into hyper drive. Resulting in a greater number of individuals reading your stuff.

How Do Headlines And Visuals Prevent The Visitor From Leaving?

Lets face it we are a society of scanners. When we read a newspaper or magazine, we read the headlines then look at the visuals and go over the captions. When we watch T.V we flip through the channels like there's no tomorrow. Sooo much to choose from. It's even worse out here on the World Wide Web.

Headlines and visuals slow down your visitors, they get them interested and peak their curiosity. They drive home the important points, and they do so, in a matter of seconds. We know this is true, because you actually looked at the visual before you read this valuable content. Your content(text) as valuable as it may be, can be overlooked. Buried beneath a mountain of more text. But headlines and visuals stand out, they stop the skimming. That's the biggest reason why headlines and visuals are so important in this business of attraction and conversion.

What do headlines and visuals actually do?

We've all heard the saying a picture (visual) speaks a thousand words. You need to use those words and tell a story. Combining your headlines, visuals and captions properly should tell a story, educated the reader about the content and get them to read.Try to make it entertaining, where applicable. People love stories and they love to be entertained.

Visuals without a caption is not a good visual at all. Try and put captions on every visual, object and even video. Headlines and Visuals are very effective tools of conversion, but only if used well.
