Racial harmony. After half a century of gaining independence, racial sparks still occurs every now and then. In a video compiled at Tinkrbox a video/webpage bookmarking site, Ibrahim Ali, founder of Malay rights group would curse at the Chinese, saying Malays had forgiven the Chinese a lot. The same politician, in another article compiled at Tinkrbox, Ibrahim Ali criticizes the Chinese for being too greedy. A church incident which happened in Malaysia a few months ago also signifies how weak the racial harmony is in Malaysia.
Greedy politicians. Every family has a black goat, this is also the case in Malaysia. It is true that a lot of politicans in Malaysia are honest and would do anything to fight for Malaysias well being. However a few corrupted politicians would care only for their own will disrupt the development of the country. For the same reason, Malaysia is heading towards bankruptcy, by 2019, as stated in an article found at Tinkrbox.
Back to the roots. Some time ago, the language to teach Math and Science was in English. However, recently, politicians decided that Malays would be used instead. Their reasoning is that learning in Malay would help to promote students love for the country.
The future of Malaysia is worrisome indeed. Should it not be able to overcome these problems, the country we know as of today will be gone in the next few decades.
