Vitamins obtained from "vital amines are the most essential nutrients for human beings. There are two types of vitamins and they are water soluble and fat soluble. Human body uses these vitamins to support its functions and stay healthy.

Water soluble vitamins such as vitamin B and vitamin C flushes out from the body hence it is necessary to consume these vitamins on daily basis. Fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin A, D, E and K get stored in fatty tissues of the body. Each vitamin plays a unique role in promoting health fitness.

Different types of vitamin are:

-> Vitamin A: IT helps in improving eyesight and maintaining healthy skin.

-> Vitamin B: It participates actively in making red blood cells and generating energy.

-> Vitamin C: It helps in strengthening gums and muscles and aids in healing wounds.

-> Vitamin D: IT helps in strengthening bones and teeth and aids in absorbing calcium in the body.

-> Vitamin E: It aids in formation of red blood cells and takes care of lungs.

-> Vitamin K: It helps in maintaining normal levels of protein.

Vitamins are very much essential for the body to stay healthy. Except vitamin D and K, they cannot be synthesized by human body and therefore must be obtained from food. They do not provide calories directly but helps indirectly. A varied diet usually gives all the vitamins needed by the body. They have to come from food because they are not manufactured or formed by our body.
