subject: Going Natural Is Far Better Than Relying On Supplements For Exercise [print this page]

In the course of our lives, we have been presented with many drugs and nutritional supplements that we are made to believe is necessary in achieving a certain body type. These come in the shape of several powders, tablets, capsules, and bars and they also provide you different results that you desire. Others may take them in the hopes of losing weight faster, others take them so they could buff up and gain a bit more weight, while others are looking out for a little energy boost so they could maintain their intensity when working out.

Some people would think of taking in nutritional supplements as the only way for them to achieve their dream body. As you might already know, nutritional supplements actually come with some consequences, and the FDA doesn't even approve of almost all of them. The truth is, you don't really need to have supplements to get the body you want. You can do it the old fashioned way, discipline and hard work.

One reason why you shouldn't be taking these is that you would not want to be dependent on them.

It's true, there are actually people who would attest to this. It could be friends, family members, or acquaintances who happen to share their experiences with you when you come across each other at the gym. If you're not careful enough, you might become dependent on nutritional supplements to give you the "energy" to have an effective workout. Be that as it may, supplements are actually not the key for you to be able to have an effective workout. Nobody needs steroids, muscle boosters, or any other artificial means of having a strength boost so you could build up your muscle mass, or have a more defined set of muscles in your body. What users normally say is that they may feel significantly weaker when they stop taking their supplements despite continuing to work out.

It's side effects might just outweigh the benefits that they give you

With the recent recall bomb that has just dropped on a certain fat burning product, people are getting more and more aware of the side effects that these nutritional supplements carry along with them. Although their effects vary in mildness and strength to many people, the simple fact alone that it poses a health risk is reason enough for you to stay away from this. Different supplements could have a range of side effects that could lead to a break out in acne or pimples, or even liver problems, kidney problems, and an irregular heartbeat.

You probably wouldn't be facing any side effects at all if you worked out without the help of supplements.

So do away with those muscle mass builders, toners, fat burners and other supplements that you might have. If you are able to have the body that you desire without the use of such supplements, you might just find that you would have better discipline when it comes to your exercise and your diet.
