subject: Your Wallet and the Environment Want You to Sell Your Broken Blackberry [print this page]

More importantly yet, there is the issue of the environment. You, and all electronics goods owners for that matter, have the moral duty to find sustainable solutions for handling used and broken electronics products, and in this regard refurbishment operations are the best way to go. Finding someone to buy broken blackberry or other brand electronics products is tantamount to fulfilling your obligation to the environment, and it is the complete polar opposite of just chucking the used or broken product into the trash can. Doing so will do two things: first, it will deny you a bit of money as we have already seen; second, it will take all the highly toxic and precious materials inside your blackberry to some massive e-waste facility where they will leach their way into the water supply, contaminate the soil, and unleash very negative health consequences on plant and animalincluding humanpopulations. It's time that we all thought long and hard about whether or not that is a process that we would like to become a part of; whether or not that is a legacy we would like to leave behind. As the only sensible answer is that no, we don't want to see that stuff happen, then it's time we all started seeking places that will buy broken blackberry phones, laptops, iphones, etc., and started making a positive change for our wallets and the environment alike!
